Here are some of the stats and stories that make us proud.** ![food](https://go.jewishphilly.org/hs-fs/hubfs/food.jpg?width=400&name=food.jpg) ## Emergency Relief Grants The $2.5 million in grants made from our Emergency Fund  help the most vulnerable in our communities access basic needs like food, shelter, PPE, and vital technology like home internet. We also funded special initiatives to help our Jewish camps and day schools, and to allow rabbis to provide financial support to congregants who are struggling. Thanks to your donations, we've impacted the lives of 280,000 people through 24 partner agencies.[![SEE-ALL](https://go.jewishphilly.org/hs-fs/hubfs/SEE-ALL.png?width=150&name=SEE-ALL.png)](https://jewishphilly.org/covid-19-emergency-fund-grants/) ![girl](https://go.jewishphilly.org/hs-fs/hubfs/girl.jpg?width=400&name=girl.jpg) ## PrePress - "[Jewish Federation Releases $6.3 Million in Grants For General Support](https://www.inquirer.com/news/jewish-federation-philadelphia-covid-19-grants-20200508.html)," The Inquirer  - "[Rabbis to Distribute $250k from The Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia](https://www.jewishexponent.com/2020/06/03/rabbis-to-distribute-250k-from-jewish-federation-of-greater-philadelphia/)," The Jewish Exponent - "[Using Tech To Meet Food Pantry Needs In Philly's Northeast](https://generocity.org/philly/2020/10/02/using-tech-to-meet-food-pantry-needs-in-phillys-northeast/)," Generocity - "[Area Foundations and Funds Continue To Respond to COVID-19](https://generocity.org/philly/2020/04/17/area-foundations-and-funds-continue-to-respond-to-covid-19-crisis/)," Generocity - "[Hunger Expected to Explode Here, Throughout America, Because of COVID-19](https://www.inquirer.com/news/coronavirus-hunger-food-insecurity-feeding-america-philabundance-share-jewish-federation-20200611.html)," The Inquirer - "[For Jews Hit Hard By The Pandemic, A New Worry: Not Having Enough Food](https://www.jta.org/2020/05/11/united-states/for-jews-hit-hard-by-the-pandemic-a-new-worry-not-having-enough-food)," Jewish Telegraph Agency - "[At Holiday Time, Donations To Many Food Charities Aren’t Keeping Up With Pandemic-Fueled Need](https://www.inquirer.com/news/hunger-food-pantry-share-philabundance-thanksgiving-coronavirus-20201110.html)," The Inquirer ![old](https://go.jewishphilly.org/hs-fs/hubfs/old.jpg?width=400&name=old.jpg) ## Recipient Stories - [Fighting Hunger](https://blog.jewishphilly.org/fighting-hunger-during-covid-19?hsLang=en) - [Meeting Mental Health Needs](https://blog.jewishphilly.org/meeting-mental-health-needs-during-covid?hsLang=en) - [Masks and PPE For Our Schools](https://blog.jewishphilly.org/covid19-masks?hsLang=en) - [Running Our Annual Food Drive I](https://blog.jewishphilly.org/2020-high-holidays-food-drive-story?hsLang=en)n A Pandemic - [Sharing A Shabbat Table While Social Distancing](https://blog.jewishphilly.org/sharing-a-shabbat-table-even-during-social-distancing?hsLang=en) - [Using Technology To Create Social Connections For Seniors](https://blog.jewishphilly.org/a-little-black-box-that-fights-loneliness?hsLang=en) - [How We Funded Direct, Immediate Relief For Nonprofits](https://blog.jewishphilly.org/how-were-giving-back-direct-immediate-relief-for-nonprofits?hsLang=en) ![kidsd](https://go.jewishphilly.org/hs-fs/hubfs/kidsd.jpg?width=400&name=kidsd.jpg) ## Population & Basic Needs Research Our Strategy and Impact team surveyed over a thousand community members and scores of local organizations about their needs during the pandemic, compiling the results into a publicly accessible data tool.
